Well I survived! La vie est belle! This past week I have learned so much. We started to practice our knife skills, learning different cuts and techniques. Before this class I was really fast with a knife , but I had to slow down to make sure I master the right technique. From julienne to brunoise we are chopping away! I love it! I also learned the proper way of clarifying butter, and if you know me you know I LOVE butter... the smell was heavenly. We also learned some history about the culinary world, very interesting. Sanitation was quickly reviewed( very important in a kitchen) and we moved on to learning our kitchen equipment. I signed up for catering an event last saturday, it was nice to be in the kitchen prepping food for bands such as Imagine Dragon, Neon Trees, Krewella etc.. here are some pictures of this week.
